Team Foundation Server Client Frustrations!

Have any of you tried to create a client for Team Foundation Server? Have you ever noticed that the TFS assemblies that are added to the GAC platform specific? Have you ever wanted to kick someone square in the...

Anyway... why are these assemblies tied to the x86 platform? I've been extremely frustrated over the past week or so trying to create tools that with TFS integration on my x64 development box. I have yet to see a logical reason for the assemblies being x86 only so if you do please feel free to enlighten me but in the mean time the best work around I've found  is to use a Virtual PC and do all of my client development virtually but this solution is not ideal. Keep in mind this also makes any tool created using these assemblies stuck to the x86 platform so using them may really annoy your clients etc...

There also appears to be a lack of information online about this problem. At this point I would be happy with an explanation of why this was done and a date to look forward to a patch.

So if anyone has any information about this please let me know.
